Visitation of Faculty of Medicine Udayana University to Siloam Hospitals Kupang University General

The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, responded to an invitation from the Director of Siloam Hospital Kupang to visit the hospital and assess its readiness as a collaborating institution for senior resident training in Internal Medicine and Orthopedics & Traumatology. This initiative aligns with the spirit of FK Unud to contribute to the improvement and sustainability of healthcare services in the Eastern part of Indonesia, particularly in areas that require senior resident training.

The visitation and monitoring took place from June 10th to 12th, 2023, with the aim of evaluating the facilities and infrastructure and discussing the draft of the collaboration agreement. The Director of Siloam Hospital Kupang, Dr. Andreas Wijaya, warmly welcomed the visiting team from FK Unud. In his speech, he expressed gratitude for FK Unud's willingness to establish a collaboration aimed at enhancing healthcare services in Kupang, particularly through the provision of senior resident training. The event continued with a presentation on the hospital's profile and a discussion on the implementation of the collaboration activities. At the end of the visit, mementos were exchanged between the parties as a symbol of appreciation.

The visiting team from FK Unud was led by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Prof. dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH, PhD, accompanied by the Coordinator of Udayana University's Institute for Community Partnership and Empowerment (UPIKS), Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, M.Kes, the Chairman of the Education Coordination Committee (Komkordik) of FK Unud/RSUP Prof. Ngoerah, Dr. dr. I Gusti Putu Suka Aryana, SpPD-KGer, FINASIM, the Coordinator of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, Dr. dr. Yenny Kandarini, SpPD-KGH, and a representative from the Orthopedics and Traumatology Residency Program, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Paramartha Wijaya Putra, SpOT.
