Undergraduate Medical Science Course in Tsukuba Online 2022

Unit of Information and Cooperation Affair (UPIKS), Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University are pleased to inform you that our partner university, the University of Tsukuba are holding an online program entitled:

“International Medical Training Course in Tsukuba 2022” ( Sakura Program)

Course Objective :

This program is designed for qualified undergraduate students majoring in biomedical sciences or related fields. Undergraduate students from our partner Universities from Indonesia, Vietnam, and Taiwan will take the course together with students of the University of Tsukuba, majoring in Medical Science. Together will learn the latest experimental methodologies employed in research laboratories at the University of Tsukuba. In addition, we will have social and cultural events and special seminars presented by our faculty. All students are expected to make a short presentation on their accomplishments on the program’s final day. This two-week intensive course provides our students to share scientific ideas and learn together with our distinguished researchers

Tentative Schedule:
1-12 March 2022
March 1: Orientation and Opening remarks
March 5: Social and Culture Events
March 12: Presentation and Closing Remarks
Other days: Students are expected to devote materials, periodic  group meetings and discussions with research lab members

Eligibility:

- Medical student at  4th and 6th Semester (on March 2022)
- The participating student must be an undergraduate (2nd or 3rd-year student OR 4th and 6th Semester (by March 2022) majoring in life science or related fields, with a GPA of above 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale).
Able to communicate in English (may provide TOEFL certificate)
- We will evaluate all the participants with deep interviews and  inform the selection on January 15, 2022
