Training on Emergency Response for Tourists in the Ubud Area University General

With the gradual easing of the Covid-19 pandemic and the revival of tourism in Bali, tourists have begun to flock to enjoy the attractions in Bali. This also increases the possibility of accidents or health issues occurring among tourists within hotel premises at any given time. Recognizing this situation, hotel employees, being the closest individuals in the hotel environment, are the first hope for providing assistance to tourists.

In support of tourism recovery and providing emergency education, the Travel Medicine Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud), in collaboration with STIKES Bina Usada Bali, organized a Training Empowerment for Hotel Employees in Emergency Response for Tourists in the Ubud Tourism Area, which also aimed to establish networking between health education institutions and the hospitality industry in Bali. The event was held at the Meeting Room of Ubud Raya Resort Hotel, Gianyar, and was attended by hotel employees. (July 14, 2023)

The event commenced with a welcome address from the Chairman of the Travel Medicine Unit, FK Unud, Dr. dr. Made Agus Hendrayana, M.Ked, followed by a speech from the Hotel Management. The training session was conducted by teams from the Travel Medicine Unit, FK Unud, and STIKES Bina Usada Bali. It is hoped that this training will enhance the knowledge and practice of emergency response among hotel employees.
