On September 15, 2023, the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University received a visit from the Besipa'e Foundation for the purpose of signing a cooperation agreement, which took place in the Dean's Meeting Room at the Faculty of Medicine in Denpasar.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., expressed his happiness that the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University could establish cooperation with the Besipa'e Foundation. This cooperation would be implemented by the Specialist Program in Ophthalmology, aiming to contribute to and improve the quality of eye health in the Kelapa Lima District, Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara Province.

"It is our hope that this cooperation can continue and expand, not only in the field of community service but also in the realm of the University's Tri Dharma, which includes education, community service, and research," stated Prof. Januartha.

The event was attended by representatives from the Besipa'e Foundation, Simon Peter Field, and Afliana Hana Ndun. From Udayana University's Faculty of Medicine, attendees included the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K)., the Coordinator of the Information and Cooperation Management Unit, Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked., M.Kes., the Coordinator of the Specialist Program in Ophthalmology, Dr. dr. Anak Agung Mas Putrawati Triningrat, S.Ked., Sp.M(K)., as well as teaching staff in the Specialist Program in Ophthalmology, including Dr. dr. Ni Made Surasmiati, M.Biomed, Sp.M (K)., dr. Ni Made Ari Suryathi, M.Biomed, Sp.M (K)., dr. I.G.A. Ratna Suryaningrum, M. Biomed, Sp.M (K)., and dr. Putu Dian Megasafitri, Sp.M.
